Karen Bresler is known as a real estate lawyer passionate about looking after her client’s interests as though they were her own. Her extensive experience gives her the ability to quickly see potential problems that a less experienced lawyer would not know. Karen Bresler has a BA in Psychology, an LLB law degree, and is trained as a mediator. In addition to her expertise in real estate law, she is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach with the coaching designation CPCC and holds memberships in the Law Society of BC, Canada and the International Coaching Federation. Karen is a graduate of the Co-Active Leadership Program.

An experienced lawyer specializing in Real Estate Law, both residential and commercial, Karen also has extensive experience in Family and Personal Injury litigation. She was called to the Bar in British Columbia after immigrating from South Africa and has been practicing law for a number of years as a specialist in Real Estate transactions.

Professional credentials include undergraduate and graduate degrees in Law and Industrial Psychology, certified coaching credential and leadership training.

Karen provides legal advice to all clients in the area of Real Estate Law and represents them in the closing of their Purchase and Sale contracts, or their re-finance of properties, both residential and commercial.

She negotiates contracts with respect to private purchase and sales; conducts all searches; provides legal advice to clients about issues arising and possibly legal and practical ramifications.

Karen has proven herself highly proficient in all administrative aspects relating to real estate transactions. She is known for consistently reviewing survey plans, restrictions on title, such as covenants relating to leases, rights of first refusal and options to purchase. She assists clients with wide-ranging real estate issues such as residential and commercial leases, offers to purchase and other pertinent contracts.

To stay on top of the real estate market, she connects on a daily basis with realtors, lawyers, surveyors, notaries, financial institutions, insurance and property management corporations. She is so adept at constant communication that she was recently nominated for a Master of Networking award.
